Ashutosh Rokade is a production designer, visual artist, and architect from Pune, India. He holds a Master of Arts in Production Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he gained hands-on experience working on a variety of short films, including multiple XR stage productions using LED volume technology.
Growing up in a family of artists, Ashutosh was immersed in creativity from an early age. While studying architecture as an undergraduate, he built a strong foundation in spatial planning and design. His interest in production design began during junior college through early exposure to scenic design in theatre, sparking a deeper exploration into visual storytelling.
Before pursuing his master’s degree, Ashutosh worked on several Indian film productions as part of the art department, gaining practical experience in set design and construction. His background in architecture and on-set work continues to shape his design approach, balancing narrative intent with spatial clarity.
Ashutosh currently works as a production designer with Basemint Creative, a themed entertainment design studio based in Orlando, Florida. At Basemint, he has contributed to multiple domestic and international projects, with a focus on concept development, show set design and master planning. His work spans early ideation through detailed design, helping create immersive environments that bring stories to life.
